Editorial Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in writing for Green Climate & Environmental Sustainability Revolution for Action & Innovation (GCESRAI). These guidelines ensure a smooth submission process and help maintain the quality of content published on our platform.

General Submission Guidelines

  • Article Length: Submissions should be between 1,000-1,200 words.
  • Quality Check: Review your article at least twice before submission to correct spelling and grammatical errors.
  • Clarity & Structure: Ensure your article is well-structured and ideas are clearly expressed.
  • Editing Rights: GCESRAI reserves the right to make editorial and stylistic changes to submitted articles. Revised versions will be shared with authors before publication.

Content Guidelines

  • Articles must be factually accurate and provide a fresh perspective on climate change, environmental sustainability, green finance, and related topics.
  • The content should be engaging, informative, and free from unnecessary technical jargon to appeal to a broad audience.
  • Hyperlinks should be provided for facts, statistics, or external references to ensure credibility.
  • Articles should avoid political bias and focus on constructive discussions around sustainability.
  • Subtitles may be used to improve readability.
  • Please provide a short author bio and a profile photo at the end of your article.

Fact-Checking & Language

  • Verify all facts, statistics, and historical references using reputable sources.
  • Ensure correct spelling of names, dates, and organizations.
  • Use U.S. English (e.g., “organization” instead of “organisation”).
  • Prefer active voice over passive voice for clear communication.

Grammar & Style Guidelines

  • Quotation Marks: Use double quotes (“ ”) for direct quotes. Use single quotes (‘ ’) only for quotes within a quote.
  • Possessive Apostrophe: If a name ends with “s,” write it as James’s, GCESRAI’s, etc.
  • Abbreviations: Spell out full names before using acronyms, e.g., United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
  • Numbers:
    • Write one to nine in words; use numerals for 10 and above (except when starting a sentence).
    • Use 1,000; 10,000; 1 million, etc., for large numbers.
  • Dates Format: January 15, 2025.
  • Percentages: Use “%” in titles but “per cent” in body text.
  • Metric System: Use kilometers (km), grams (g), liters (L), etc. for measurements.

Honorarium & Copyright

  • Authors may receive an honorarium for original and exclusive articles.
  • Articles previously published elsewhere are not eligible for payment.
  • Once published, GCESRAI retains the right to distribute, edit, and republish the content.
